Covid-19 Policy

Our Commitment to our guests & Team members regarding COVID-19

AquaLand Resort  has the health, safety and security of our guests and team members as our highest priority.

The AquaLand Resort  Quality Department has created new operating procedures and guidelines including a response plan regarding the exposure and prevention of the COVID-19 spread. These will be implemented in order to keep our guests, employees and the wider community healthy and safe.

Our goal is to offer the high quality services, and at the same time, secure the safety and health of our guests and team members in all areas of operations. These procedures will see new ways of working in all departments including Reception, Housekeeping, Restaurants, Bars, Kitchens, Maintenance, Staff areas, Fitness and Gym areas, Swimming pools and other areas of operation.

The new measures aim to cover a wide range of hotel operations and we have paid close attention to the World Health Organisation recommendations as well as the European and National legal requirements considering the COVID-19 preventative measures and includes an emergency plan in case of a suspected or confirmed case.

Based on the COVID-19 protocols our check-in time is at 15h00 and check out time is at 11h00.

Reception

When approaching the Reception desk please ensure that 2 meters distance is kept.

Occupancy management will be implemented to limit the occupancy of the hotel based on the national guidelines.

Designated check in points with thermometers for body temperature checks.

Protective screens will be visible on reception desks and a 2metre distancing policy in place.

Face masks will be worn by the reception teams.

Medical Assistance: If you feel unwell or experiencing respiratory symptoms, please contact the Reception desk to seek advise.

Your luggage will be disinfected upon your arrival to the hotel .

As per local government protocols, the checkout is set at 11.00hrs.

It is kindly recommended to settle your bill the night before your departure to avoid queues at reception on the departure day and generally reduce the time spent at the reception desk.

Guests Rooms & Public Areas

All non-essential items such as magazines, stationary, tea and coffee facilities and decorative pillows and covers will be removed from all rooms.

Room cleaning will take place only when guests are not in the room and by using suitable disinfectant and disposable paper as recommended by the local government.

To minimize the risk of cross contamination we will clean your room and change your linen twice a week and only when you are not present in the room as to avoid unnecessary contact. You may contact the reception and request change of towels whenever that may be required.

Personal protective equipment will be worn by every team member and will be changed for each room cleaning.

All hard surfaces and frequently used items such as switches and remote controls will be disinfected.

A deep clean and disinfection will take place prior to a guests check-in.

Commonly used public areas including toilets and hotel lobby areas will be disinfected every hour.

A “Response Team” and undergo an intensive training program based on the cleaning and disinfecting of an occupied room where there is a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case.

Self-isolation rooms will be made available to accommodate any guests with suspected cases of COVID-19 where hospitalisation is not required.

We have increased the frequency of cleaning in our public areas including lobbies, door handles, public bathrooms, room keys, laundry, locker rooms and offices.

Bars & Restaurants

It has been necessary to adjust our meal’s service in accordance with the current food safety recommendations.

Hand sanitization is compulsory when entering each restaurant and bar area.

Protective gloves must be worn when using serving utensils which will be limited to live cooking stations and individual portion buffet areas.

All utensils and equipment will be changed every 30 minutes.

Set time dining will be implemented in all restaurants and access to the buffet will be controlled by our team members.

All restaurants and bars will be re-designed to allow 1.5 – 2metre distancing between tables.

Single use table cloths and napkins will be in operation for all restaurants.

Team members will wear personal protective equipment at all times.

All drinks will be served by our team members.

Our buffets will remain albeit at different shape and format in order to assist with social distancing. In some other cases, we will be serving you directly at your table offering you different options from our chef.

Children should remain at the table and parents/guardians should collect meals on their behalf. Occasionally we will offer a children’s menu with favourites served directly to your table. Our restaurant teams will guide you on this.

Swimming Pools & Surrounding Areas

Sun beds will be arranged with a 1.5 – 2metre distance.

Guests should observe social distancing measures when using the hotel pools.

Sunbeds and Umbrellas will be disinfected each day.

Non-essential items will be removed from the pool areas.

Pool water will be treated with appropriate disinfection products and as per extensive procedures for water management.

Jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath will not be available for use.

Gym equipment will be frequently disinfected by our staff; disinfectant will also be available at the designated areas.

Maintenance  Department

Any maintenance required in guest rooms will be done so by appointment and ONLY when the guests are not present in the room.

Each team member will wear personal protective equipment at all times.

Working areas will be disinfected before and after the work is carried out.

General Information

Aqua Land Resort has established a Crisis & Emergency Team which will consist of higher management members.

These members will receive an extensive training program in handling suspected or confirmed cases of COVID – 19. AquaLand Resort recognises the global crisis caused by this pandemic and is doing everything possible to ensure the safe reopening of our hotel.

We understand that this is a forever changing circumstance, thus will continuously evaluate the effectiveness of these procedures and amend wherever necessary.
